Life in the Snooze Lane

Elizabeth and I had a nice time out yesterday. We took a little trip to Prairie Queens in San Jose and then over to Kinokuniya for some Japanese Craft book action.
Elizabeth bought a lot of really great things. I bought thread. #900 Mettler. It looks great doesn't it?
It wasn't that I didn't see pretty things, my days are just ruled by allergies. Some days more so than others.. and yesterday was a bad day. I don't have them too often. Normally one half a dose, one pill, will just be enough to take care of it, but yesterday .. not so much. So thread was all I could get behind.
Today though, I'm making up for it. I was over on Jona's blog reading about her Mary Engelbreit experience. Jona also starting a fabric shop online, and was mentioning that she had Moda's Mary E fabric and had reduced her price a bit.. so I took a look. You know, just because I was curious and I don't have the fabric connection I used to have.
HOLY CRAP PEOPLE.. why didn't anyone mention that in the Mary Engelbriet line there is CREAM COLORED FABRIC WITH YELLOW POLKA DOTS. I know I'm not the only one interested in YELLOW DOTS ON WHITE/CREAM. So I ordered three yards !!!
So I'm totally thrilled about that, my whole day has perked up like crazy. So see, there's always something to be grateful for, and while that isn't my only thing, yellow dot fabric is right up there on the list. And all you snowy people, you can be grateful that spring allergies aren't upon you already.. and that you haven't spent all winter mowing your lawn and weeding. I mean really, its not the only thing... but its something!

Prairiequeens is my hang out! They are super nice there. Glad you had a fun outing, but isn't the allergy situation horrendous this year? Benedryl and I are such good friends, but it sure makes me sleepy.

Sorry to hear about you California girls suffering with allergies. I guess there's one thing good about the snow-it keeps the pollen away. By the way, we have had 108 inches of snow this winter. I'll post pictures soon.

Hope you feel better soon! Shall I tell you about the sleet AND that I'm allergic to the quilt store? Yes, allergy medicine in the middle of winter, that's me. I can fall on my butt and sneeze my head off in the same day. Which I did. Very recently. Ahem. :-)

See, I'm thinking you take the tylenol 'cause it's yellow and red and you prefer those colors. But my pink benadryl works so well you really might want to try it. Because wow, there was so much more than thread out there yesterday. I should know--I bought it.

Ok, if you just got thread those allergies are pretty darned bad. I know what it's like though (mine come in the fall when the fields get plowed up, but same thing). But hey -- that cream and yellow polkadot fabric? Now that can cure all sorts of ills :0).

Love hearing of your adventures. I am so sorry to hear of your allergies. Yes, I am one of those snowy people, still lots on the ground. However, yesterday and today lots of rain, ugh!

Thanks for the link to Jona's blog loved it and the fabric you purchased. It definitely makes up for the one spool of thread!

Well, you're not talking about me because we have a) no snow
and b) the allergy season has commenced.

I have a swollen throat and runny nose every single day now.

But you have it way worse than I do because of the asthma. I'm so sorry!

Huge hugs!!!

How could anyone not like cream with yellow polka dots?

I see you two are suffering from allergies. Man are they bad or what?? My head has been banging for two days.
I saw that yellow/cream and did think of you honestly I did. But then with my mind lately, I forgot as quick as I remembered. LOL!!!

I hope you're feeling much better and thinking of acquiring something cute and better than a spool of thread. Not that there's anything wrong with that!

Take care!
