Dainty

Gotta get that sewing groove back on! It's been too long since I really did anything in my sewing room besides watching the House and NCIS marathons. When I saw this cute pattern over at Camille's I just had to make it.
So are you working on anything? Or just taking it easy? Love all the stories from yesterday, Nicole is right, all that good cheer really is exhausting!

I'm riding herd on the two grandson's. They spent the night and now we're going to go see Marley and Me. Then it's off to the doctor with Sweetie. Then take the boys home. Then to get my mom a new computer monitor. She's 85 and having major withdrawals from having no computer! Tomorrow we get the boys back for New Years' and they will spend the night again. I don't think I get any rest until NEXT YEAR! So much for sewing! Whew!

I still need to finish a wool bag for my sister-in-law and some pillowcases for my nephew for Christmas. It's still 2008 so I have time, right??

Then I really want to start a project that I have loved for a long time...The Funny Farm by Sandy Gervais.

Cute pattern, and your fab selection is adorable... as always!

Doing some handwork while watching the House marathon we have tivo'd. Right now I'm trying make a post, but of course... I'M DISTRACTED. And T-man is a happy camper... he's installing his new weather station. I'm sure I'll get a full update on our barometric pressure and wind speed at any moment.

LOL. Glad I'm not the only one! I have NEVER watched House or NCIS before. Until a few days ago. I quickly became addicted! ALLLL dang day! My heck! I even started dvr/tivo'ing them! I don't have a t.v. in "the room" so not as much sewing as there could be. LOL. The Thimble Blossom's pattern is so cute! And the little peek of fabric looks mighty dang cute too. Happy New Year Pam! ooxx`jodi

What a cute project, Pam! I love small ones like this - gets my "gratification factor" going fast! I've had House on as well in the studio - can't get enough of this guy for some reason - we were watching a movie On Demand last night and he showed up as an IA cop on Street Kings and my favorite of him is in Jeeves and Wooster!
Cheers!

PKM - I'm with you. I'm starting to twitch because I've been too busy to fire up my vintage sewing machine. I need to sew!!!

Like the others have said, I'm addicted to House. It's such a preposterous situation - diagnosing by committee....but I love it.

I've been feeling that slump. I'm trying to pull out of it and get back to projects. My problem is I want to do new things not the stuff I was working on before the holidays. But I'm a finisher so I will fight the urge and just start one new tiny project. I love that table topper and the fabric. Now that is cute! I'm fighting the urge to get going on that table topper this very moment.

Well, glad you asked, I've been busy sewing on new things the last few days and it is making me HAPPY! It is making me so happy I can almost forget that my head is stopped up and my throat is killing me. Sewing some pointy wedge-y things, some pointy goose-y things, some round yo-yo-y things. But that looks like a mighty cheery layer cake you have there and I'm going to have to swing over the have a gander at Camille's pattern...looks like fun. Can we see it as it gets sewed up, please? Happy New Year!
