Blog Hopping Monday!

Good morning Peeps, how was the weekend? It was another wonderful weather weekend here, and we spent some time outside enjoying the sunshine and catching up on fall tasks. As everyone knows, the holiday season will be in high gear soon, so no time like the present to get to thinking about holiday gift giving. And how convenient, the next 12 days will be filled with Christmas Cheer and quick holiday projects. Perfect timing, I've put off all my holiday sewing till the last minute as usual.
The holidays are great aren't they? I remember the anticipation mostly. The tree, the tinsel.. SANTA. Very exciting.
Today's featured blog is Gudrun's World. Click your way over to her blog, I can't wait to see what she has in store, what about you? Be sure and leave a comment to be entered in the big prize drawing. See you tomorrow peeps. xo

My BIG anticipation during the holiday season was "When is Mom going to put up the Christmas tree?"

And to this day, as old as I am (LOL - and that's pretty old!), I still look forward, with anticipation, to having our tree up.

A kid at heart.

Lots and LOTS of tinsel on my tree growing up. My hubby has banned it from our tree. LOL!

10:36 AM
Blogger Julie S said...

We never had tinsel on our tree. Altho one year my mom bought "ice sickles", thin silver ribbons to cover the tree. My brother liked to grab a handful and throw it at the tree; I put them on one by one. And some always ended up on the floor, sucked into the vacuum and messing up the power nozzle!

I so agree. The anticipation about killed my brother and I every year. My Aunt and Uncle would come every Christmas Eve with loads of gifts and homemade treats, they spoiled their nieces and nephews horribly because they had no children of their own. We sat on pins and needles just waiting for them to arrive. For me, it was because Unc would let me eat the whipped cream out of the container without having to have jello or pie with it! Just the gloriousness of the whipped cream. Man, I wish he was still here!
