Rain Rain

I love the stormy weather we have been having lately. Not that I'm getting a lot done... don't kid yourself. I've barely turned the sewing machine on. But sewing with Elizabeth got me jump started, so I rummaged around for my cute blocks and got busy... They look like sunshine to me, although my house is getting more and more like a dungeon with the bad weather. I'm going to need a miner's helmet to see around here.
So what are you guys up to?

LOVE those sunny little blocks!! Hope the real sunshine comes back soon for you California-ites !
Me? oh, well, I'm hoping to finish up a chef apron that goes with the chef hat I made my budding 17 year old chef for Christmas .... out of the prized dirtbike racer fabric (of course .... no self respecting dirtbike racer/chef would be caught baking in anything else!)

Those blocks are adorable! Love them! I am just busy building my ark here in Pleasanton. : ) When I have time I am working on four quilts right now in varying stages. One is going to get dropped off at Diane's today so that is a good sign! Now back to construction!

Do you paper piece the sunshine blocks? They are cute. I'm working on 4 quilts and have 5 to put on the binding!

Those are sooo cute! I have made many quilts, but not that particular pattern. They do look like sunshine, with a rainbow thrown in for good measure.

Such a happy block. You'll have to tell us how you made them and I can't wait to see what you applique them on. We're floating too in Socal but its suppose to be done for a few days this afternoon. Hope so, we need a few months of sunshine (besides your block of course)

Those are just precious! They have so much spirit. They look like brave little suns. Love it.
I'm working on a quilt for a fundraiser for my husband's choir. When that gets done, I really must finish up the quilt I gave my daughter for Christmas!

CUTE blocks! Super cute! Say, could you just scoot that rain right out of there by, say, Feb. 14 or so? That'd be great! :-)

These are delightfully cheery. I'm still in my "California" honeymoon stage where this weather is still so much brighter than what I was used to. And not so cold. I went to Sonoma today with my 7 year old and we thrifted to our hearts content. A great way to spend a rainy Saturday.

I might have been sewing a bit more if MY POWER DIDN'T KEEP GOING OFF!

OK, I'm calming down now. A little bit.
