That kind of good

Yesterday had to make a quick trip over to Ikea, which turned into an awesome excuse for an outing to all the fun places in Berkeley.

Had lunch at the very famous Betty's Diner. Of course the company was good!

The window shopping was fun!

The weather sunny but windy and cool.

The flowers so colorful they hurt your eyes, almost.

The fresh air divine.

So clear you can see San Francisco from the freeway across the bay.

The nice weather won't last, but we have to enjoy it while we can, right? And it beats weeding hands down.

"Sigh" - your lovely sunny pictures made me do just that, the weather here in the UK has been rotten. And the mere mention of SF made me sigh again - it has the effect on me!

We had the same lovely crisp sunny day in Long Beach yesterday. I almost feel bad to talk about it!

Waah, I miss the Bay area, especially when I see you have sun and flowers and then look outside my own window on mounts and mounts of snow... And the thermostat says 13 F... *sigh*

You have sun, you have flowers, you DON'T HAVE SNOW!!! It was 11 when I left for work, with a wind chill factor of -3! I am so sick of snow! California is really looking good right now!

Boy, are you making me homesick. I love the Ikea in Berkley, and miss seeing the SF skyline.

Yesterday I drove from Alameda across the San Rafael Bridge to Marin County. It was a glorious day full of views of the scenic SF Bay and the rolling hills of Marin County. A stop at Quilted Angel in Petaluma added to the fun.

This is so unfair, Pam. We are buried under snow here in Connecticut. I love snow but just seeing the pictures of a gorgeous, blooming flower... oh, the craving.
Best wishes,Linda

I love, love, love 4th Street!!! What a beautiful day to boot! I've been shopping there since the day they opened up the Crate & Barrel outlet - and not once have I got to Betty's - only because EVERY time I've been there's been a line all the way OUTSIDE.

And look a Frankie... she's so adorable! xxoo

San Fran is one of my favorite places. I don't get there very often but I had the most amazing sandwich at a cigar shop there. I've dreamed of that sandwich for years.

Looks like a lovely day. Here in NJ we are still experiencing the occasional dusting of snow. I am looking forward to the weather you described!
