Confessional

And just like that it was done. That's a lesson I just refuse to really learn. I mean I know it doesn't take long, I just refuse to buckle down till there's a deadline.

Machine quilting just isn't my favorite part of quilting. I want it to be, I love beautiful quilting, machine or by hand, but my patience just isn't always up to the part. That and my table is rarely cleared enough for extensive marking. EXCUSES. I'm full of them. Feel free to ask if you'd like some, I have more than enough for myself! Anyway, the owl is gone from the design wall in the hallway. No one is sorry about that, he just kept looking at us.

What did you guys do over the weekend. We're having a bit of a warm spell again.September always teases us with some cool weather and then kicks the thermostat up to the nineties again. Good thing I have some indoor work on photoshop to keep me busy. Hope you had fun. xo

I hope hope hope we're done with the 90s here (although I'm not sure I'm ready for snow and cold). The owl looks lovely and I'm sure you're glad to be done with him. I did some playing in the yard this weekend and plan to buy bulbs sometime this week. Last week of vacation!

I hear you! I've got a nice long list of excuses too. Why does that list always grow so quickly?

Love the owl! Cute, cute, cute.

Have fun with photoshop. (Word verification: "pardi")

Adorable! I love the soft background, a soothing quilt for a little one Pam. And now you have me thinking about a design wall in the hall, I hate taking mine up and down!

Oh JEEZE Pam --- I can SO relate to your confessional !!!!! That is me to a "T" !!!! (I am my own worst enemy -- The Queen of Piddling Around until push comes to shove and I'm at "t minus 10 seconds" to finish something/ everything ..... sigh....). Anyhow, LOVE the owl quilt !!!!

.... and I spent my weekend being team cook and bathroom cleaner upper for my son Matt and seven of his college bike racing team mates who used our house as home base for mountain bike races Saturday and Sunday ..... now I'm getting the lost and found dept together (how can they forget this stuff .... contact solution and contacts, shirts, sneakers ....)

My quilt group went to the Sonora quilt show on Sunday and it was wonderful. In fact, I bought that same owl pattern!!! When you do grid quilting, do you start in the corner or the middle. Inquiring minds want to know...

Your quilt is adorable! I love the soft background colors. And oddly enough I was also doing applique owls this weekend. Great minds think alike! Oh, and I'm making a pink and green quilt using the Hooterville pattern. And yes - the wide eyed owls do just stare right at you, don't they???

I don't need to borrow your excuses ... those are the VERY ones that keep me from the machine quilting process (especially the space issue ... always the space issue.)

Love the bird.

LOVE the owl quilt! Is it your design? (who's is it?)

Just think of the possibilities of the different types of animals that could be used. I'm thinking monkeys hanging from the branch.
