Rainy Days

Hi there and welcome to Monday! It's not so bad once you get used to it, right?

Project peek.

It was a nice cozy rainy weekend here in Livermore, how about where you live? I managed to get some sewing done, this is just a little corner of a project Elizabeth and I are working on. I used my nice red Aurifil 12 wt. thread for blanket stitching and I really like the results.

I'm counting the days till the weekend. I'm meeting up with Roseann in Anaheim and we're going to the Craft and Hobby Association Trade Show. Its the crafty version of Quilt Market and I'm so excited. I've barely even peeked at the list of exhibitors..I know it's going to be amazing.

Ok, tell me all about the weekend!

Sounds like a good weekend. And the market sounds like it will be fun. I was on call all weekend and coming down with a cold so stayed home and cleaned out a closet. Theres a panel in the back I removed to check for leaks (behind the bathroom). Finally got that done and lots of stuff purged. Then moved on to the new shelves I put in my sewing room. Got those started. And finished a quilt top from blocks I made in a blogger quilt along. Fun weekend and didn't get called in once. Perfect! And with a zyrtec last night I'm feeling human - if a little dried out!

You are going to have a blast at CHA. I can't wait to see what comes from the inspiration overload.

With one rainy day and one partly cloudy day, it was a mixed weekend. A little sewing, a little family in from out of town. All good even if not what I had planned for.

A wonderful day at Road to CA! Picked up lots of items for my longarm (rulers, Glide Thread, Magna prewound bobbins, pantos and an Olisio iron). Did not buy one piece of fabric but sure was tempted. The quilts were just beautiful, a very nice assortment this year. Talked with Alex, John and Ricky, Verna Mosquera and Marilyn Badger. Super day!

It rained here as well so I didn't get out once I don't think. Since yesterday was football and I don't like football, I watched tv in my room. A marathon of Rosemary and Thyme episodes. Have you watched them. You would love them, I'm sure.

A lovely time at Road, chatted with Alex and Ricky a minute and hung out with Julie of Jaybird quilts too. It was fun and unlike Marilyn I did buy fabric...lol!

Still trying to get my house in order so that I can do some guilt free sewing. However, I have no trouble getting lost for hours at a time with pinterest?
Can't wait to see the whole project you and E are working on. It's gonna be great!

I'm going to Anaheim too, but not until Monday since Saturday and Sunday is our local quilt show and I'm vending and hopefully selling lots of stuff in the store. It's a fabulous show if you haven't been. Take that new camera because there is motivation at every turn!!

Have fun!
