Monday

Good morning!  And super good because HOLY COW I finished my row along top. Of course I don't have enough space to get far enough away from it to get a good picture, so you'll have to trust me.

row along

Seriously DSLR people, what lens should I have to get good pictures of a whole quilt? So far I have a nice close up macro lens and the kit lens.  I guess it's figure it out or start taking picture through the window into the living room!

Anyway, lots of work done this weekend. What about on your end?  Sewing? Working?  I've done a little bit of it all, but what I really need to do today is clean up the kitchen  sink, I don't know that there are any clean dishes left! True confession.

Have a great week everybody! xo

Cute! I just hang quilts outside on the wood fence with binder clips or push pins and snap pictures while they're hanging there. But that's just me, I think.

Seeing your finished row-a-long just really makes me want to get started. It helps that you used my fav fabrics. I'm with you with photos. I can never get a good picture of a quilt. I think a clothesline would be great, but the weather has to cooporate.

It turned out great PKM! Your fabrics are perfect. I'm surprised your kit lens won't let you zoom out enough for your picture. My kit lens was a something to 200 and it will let me zoom out pretty well. Although, sometimes, when you're indoors, you just can't get back far enough LOL!

Our son has a fancy dancy camera with a lens that could take a picture of the whole quilt. Too much $$$$ for me, though. I just love your quilt. It makes me happy just to look at it! Went to a friend's house yesterday and we sewed tote bags out of place mats. I kid you not. They are adorable. Snow today so staying in. Have a fun day.

Make me a darling quilt like that and I'll come wash your dishes, BY HAND, and clean your entire kitchen. (hope it isn't TOO big LOL)

Those colors are just so happy! and love the different patterns.

I think this is my new PKM favorite!
As far as a lens I think a 35MM wide angle would work well.

I'm just a beginner quilter, but I'm sure having fun learning. Are there any patterns for beginner, well maybe just a little better than beginner? If so, I'd love to have one of the magazines. It's 65 miles from where I live to where I can buy the magazine. So if I could win that would be great! I love what I've seen so far. I'm a scrapoholic. I'm working on an hourglass quilt right now. Love your blog and all your patterns.
